RFKKGL_REV - Reverse G/L Transfer

Purpose

The app reverses the documents posted during the transfer of totals records to the general ledger. A reversal of the general ledger transfer may be necessary for a posting with an alternative posting date in an incorrect posting period.

Integration

The reversal of the documents is performed as a real reversal in the general ledger or, if this is not possible, as an offsetting posting.

The posting is performed as a negative posting if this is permitted for the company code and the negative posting for adjustments for this company code is activated in the configuration activity Define Posting Specifications for General Ledger Transfer.

Prerequisites

The posting date of the document to be reversed is used for the reversal. A posting with alternative posting date is not supported. You can only carry out a complete reversal of all documents for a reconciliation key and company code. When you reverse adjustment postings, the relevant field on the selection screen must be filled. All adjustment records with the adjustment level specified or higher are reversed.

The system logs errors that occur during reversal, and issues the error messages in the application log. If a real reversal is not possible, but the system entered an offsetting posting successfully, this is documented in the application log as a warning.

Activities

In the test run all processes are run without posting to the general ledger.

Before you run a reversal in update mode, you should consult SAP.
