Purpose

You can use this program to generate offered objects from rental objects on a periodic basis.
In Customizing for the real estate search, you specify which usage types of the rental object are relevant for the real estate search (assignment of usage type to RE search request type). The system automatically generates an offered object for these usage types when: you create a rental object with the usage type, or when a vacancy arises due to the lease ending or notice being given. The offered object is used to facilitate a quick search for the object in the real estate search. The offered object contains information of the rental object, and from its higher-level objects (business entity/building/land). It also contains a view of certain conditions and measurements that are especially important for the prospect (such as, the amount of space, number of rooms, net basic rent, and service charges).

If the data of the rental object (or the higher-level building or land) changes, then the system automatically updates the assigned offered object.

You also specify in Customizing the number of months before a vacancy that you want the offered object to be created. For example, you have a lease-out with a notice period of six months, but it is set up so that the offered object is not created until four months before a vacancy. As a result, the system does not create the offered object immediately when notice is given.

In that case, use this program. This program then generates the offered object as soon as the date is four months before the vacancy begins.

After changes in Customizing (for example, to the allowed fixtures and fittings characteristics for offered objects), all offered objects have to be updated. You also use this program for that.

You can select the rental objects, for which offered objects are created.

Output

A log is issued containing the following information:

• The rental objects, for which a new offered object was generated

• The rental objects, for which an existing offered object was updated

• The rental object, for which offered objects were deleted
  Offered objects are deleted, for example, if their dates are in the past, or if it would not be possible to create an offered object due to changes in Customizing.

• The rental objects, for which an offered object could not be generated, due to an error
  These rental objects are then no longer available in the real estate search. Correct the errors and run the program again.

Activities

You should run the program for your entire real estate portfolio at least once a month. This ensures that all offered objects are available at least during the time period specified for them in Customizing.
