Purpose

The report generates correspondence according to selection criteria, based on correspondence planned records.
Preconditions
Correspondence types (e.g. Confirmation, dealing slip) are defined in Customizing. Correspondence activities must also be defined according to product type, transaction type, activity category, etc. For external correspondence types, the correspondence standing instructions (SI) must also be maintained. The correspondence SI can be found with the business partner.
According to these settings, correspondence planned records are created when you create, change, reverse, etc. standing instructions. These correspondence planned records form the basis for the generation of correspondence.
Purpose
The report generates correspondence for the following media - print, fax, e-mail and IDoc. For print, fax and e-mail, you can use a print preview/print layout view. This print layout view is primarily designed for configuration. After the Customizing settings and Standing instructions have been optimized in the implementation project, it is recommended that you either use the automatic correspondence function or the program as a batch report that runs periodically.

The report changes the status fields in the financial transaction activity and writes change documents. The correspondence log is programmed via the ABAP List Viewer (ALV) and can be adapted to the customer via variants. You can define your own output variant as the start variant.

If you wish to output correspondence repeatedly, you can do so from the correspondence monitor.
