RFWQENQ_ENQ_SHOW_TRACE - Lock Request Trace Log

Purpose

You use this report to display entries in the priority queue trace log (table WQENQ_QUEUE_LOG).

Integration

The priority queue trace log stores trace entries from lock processing, both when the priority queue is activated and also when the priority queue is not activated.

Prerequisites

You have activated the trace for lock processing by using the Priority Queue for Lock Processing report.

Features

The trace log shows lock requests, for which the system has successfully set a lock. It also lists failed lock requests. An error code gives additional information about the reason why a lock request has failed.

In the case of successful lock requests, the trace log shows the duration of the lock and the waiting time before which the lock could be set. It also displays the parameters that the system used to process locks in the priority queue.

Selection

You specify the range of lock tables for which you want to display trace information related to the priority queue.

By default, the system adds the following information. You can change these values.

• User name: Your user name

• Date when the lock entries were created: Current date

In addition, you can specifiy the following parameters:

• Time when the lock entries were created

• Calling program: The program or transaction for which locks were requested.

• Locking time (in milliseconds)

• Total waiting time (in milliseconds)

• Waiting time in the priority queue (in milliseconds)

• Error code for priority queue processing

Indicates the reason why an error occurred during lock processing. The following values are possible:

< > Lock request was successful

A: Lock request aborted/rejected after internal error

E: Lock request has expired after maximum waiting time

L: Identical lock was requested again

R: Lock was rejected (collision with concurrent user)

S: Lock was set with success inspite of internal error

Standard Variants

Output

The trace log displays the following information:

• Error code for priority queue processing

• Net locking time (in milliseconds)

• Request for a long-time lock

• Activate priority queue for locks

• Loop counter for the priority queue

• Maximum waiting time in seconds

• Additional residence time in seconds when lock was set

• Idle time (in milliseconds)

• Priority of lock request
