Description

This programs adds all summary records per ledger/record type/version/ fiscal year, and company code (for local FI-SL tables) or global company (for global FI-SL tables) within a period interval and makes a list of the differences (non-zero balances).

Only the second and third currencies of the ledger are considered, not the various transaction currencies.

You should post the differences determined to a correction account, which you enter. A summary record for each period is posted here (containing the correction amount and the corresponding debit/credit indicator).

If you rerun a test run after this update run, no differences should appear.

This program must be run for all ledgers that you want to balance (ledgers into which documents flow, which are to be balanced to zero) and which you will still want to balance after the euro conversion. Do this BEFORE the central euro conversion IN TEST RUN (option "List balances only") for the current fiscal year (the fiscal year in which the euro conversion takes place).

An example of such a ledger is the cost-of-sales-accounting ledger 0F - Table GLFUNCT - with the balancing unit RBUKRS (company code).

If differences occur in this run, they must be analyzed and if necessary, corrected by a FI-SL direct posting.

Execute an update run of the report (option "Clear differences") at some time after the completion of the euro conversion and before the period or month-end closing of the following month (for the ledgers to be balanced), in order to correct the differences in the euro conversion.

Enter the ledger that you want to reconcile

  • Record type

Enter the currenct fiscal year (the year of the euro conversion).

  • Field (balancing unit)

Enter "RBUKRS" (company code) here, if you want to reconcile a local Ledger, or "RCOMP" (global company), if you want to reconcile a global ledger.

  • Characteristic values

You can limit the company codes or global companies here.

  • Field (add. balancing unit) and characteristic values

You should leave these fields blank for euro reconciliation, because reconciliation is only planned for the company code or global company level.

  • List balances only

The summarized ledger balances are displayed per company code/global company and period. Non-zero balances are displayed in red.

  • Clear differences

If there are differences (non-zero balances), they are cleared.

  • Account

Enter the correction account here in which the differences are to be posted. For this, you should create a new account for all company codes that you want to reconcile.

If you are reconciling a global company ledger, the account must be entered in all master data company codes (Tabelle T880) of all global companies that you want to reconcile.
