RHIQ_CIP_CODE_UPLOAD - Program RHIQ_CIP_CODE_UPLOAD

Purpose
You can use this program to fill the Customizing table for Disciplines with standard values for Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) codes. You store the codes to be uploaded in a pipe-delimited ASCII text file.

You have ensured that there is no header line in the input file.

Activities
For each line of the file, the program performs one of the following actions:
- IGNORE: The line is ignored if the code or combination Description already exists in the relevant customizing tables.
- CREATE: The line contents are added to the Customizing tables if the code does not already exist.
- UPDATE: The contents of the Description field in the line are used to update the text description in the Customizing table if the code already exists.
The upload program does not delete entries from the customizing tables.
If you choose Simulation Mode, the system does not update the database. Enter a name and location for the upload file when you execute the program.
Note: You can also use this program to upload Discipline values that are not CIP codes, as long as the described file format is used.
