RHOM_CHCK_ORG_ASSIGN - Check for Delimited Entities in IT1008 and IT1013

Purpose

The program is used to check the validity periods of the infotypes 1008 and 1013 with regard to the validity of the following entity types:

- Personnel area

- Personnel subarea

- Employee group

- Employee subgroup

For infotype 1008 (account assignment features), the personnel area and subarea are relevant.

For infotype 1013 (employee group and subgroup), the employee group and employee subgroup are relevant.

The program compares the validity of the entities against the end of the relevant infotype record.

• If the valid-to date of the entity is after the valid-to date of the infotype record, the infotype record is not listed.

• If the valid-to date of the entity is before the valid-to date of the infotype record, a corresponding entry is created in the report output.

Integration

Prerequisites

• You have activated the Validity Period for Organizational Assignments function in Customizing. To do this, you perform the Activate Switch for Validity Period Customizing activity by choosing Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Human Resources Management -> Validity Period for Organizational Assignments.

• In Customizing, you have defined the validity periods of your choice. To do so, perform the following Customizing activities by choosing Enterprise Structure -> Assignment -> Human Resources Management -> Validity Period for Organizational Assignments:

• Define Validity Period for Personnel Areas

• Define Validity Period for Personnel Subareas

• Define Validity Period for Employee Groups

• Define Validity Period for Employee Subgroups

Features

Selection

Object Type

The report supports selection and evaluation of the following object types:

- Organizational unit (O)

- Position (S)

- Job (C)

- Work center (A)

For infotype 1008, the Organizational Unit and Position object types are taken into account.

For infotype 1013, the Work Center, Job, and Position object types are supported.

Evaluating Infotypes

Infotypes 1008 and 1013 are evaluated separately. The administrator uses the radio button to define the infotypes to be evaluated.

Standard Variants

Output

The program issues an output list that contains the following columns as standard:

• Object ID

• Infotype

• Plan status

• Start date of the infotype record

• End date of the infotype record

• Abbreviation

• Name

• Entity delimitation date

Activities

The list output by this program provides the administrator with a basis for checking the records for the relevant objects again and adjusting them if necessary.Purpose
