Total Up Budget Updates into Original Budget
Purpose
You can use this report to carry forward budget updates from one financial year to the next. The budget updates are written to the original budgets of the budget structure elements. The original budgets of a budget structure element are the old original budget plus the budget updates of the budget structure element and all its lower-level budget structure elements.
Integration
The carrying forward of budget updates is part of the process for carrying forward the overall budget. You should make sure that the budget hierarchy has already been carried forward since this hierarchy and the original budgets of the subsequent financial year are used.
Prerequisites
The overall budget of the subsequent financial year must already exist, and its budget status must be "Proposed" or "In process". It does not matter whether budget rules have already been carried forward - this does not affect the carrying forward of budget updates.
Features
Any changes made manually to the overall budget of the new financial year are taken into account. If, for example, you change the original budgets manually, the changed values are used. If the validity period of a budget structure element expires during the new financial year, monetary-based budget updates are reduced accordingly.
Selection
All budget structure elements located below the access objects are carried forward. The access object does not necessarily have to be the root object - you can, for example, carry forward specific sections of the budget hierarchy.
There must be no time gaps between one financial year and the next. All budget updates that are valid on the key date in question are carried forward.
