Displaying and Changing Service and Maintenance Orders
Purpose
If you have opened this report with transaction code IW38:
The report program is used to print a list of orders, with the option of being able to change some field
entries. The order data includes entries for the time at which services should be provided, the utilities to be used, and the order costs which can be settled. You can use a changeable list of orders to:
- Search for an order whose number is unknown
- Obtain an overview of orders with particular features
- Continue processing orders with particular features collectively
- Make status changes collectively
If you have opened this report with transaction code IW38A:
The report program is used to check the material availability of a list of orders. For each order, the result list indicates if the required materials are available or not, if there were errors or warnings during the checking process, and the system and user statuses of the order.

Features
When selecting the orders, restricting criteria are available, for example, in the following categories:
- Order status
- You must select at least one order status.
- Order data
- General data/administrative data
- Paging status
If you have opened this report with transaction code IW38:
You receive a printed list of all the orders which satisfy your selection criteria. The basic list contains the order number, order type, basic start date and the short text for all the orders selected.
Other functions which you can execute in the list are described in the documentation about the ABAP List Viewer.
If you have opened this report with transaction code IW38A:
You receive a list of all the orders which satisfy your selection criteria. The list contains the order number, check result text, check result indicator, status, message text, and message long text for all the orders selected.
