Purpose
You must perform this conversion program if master records for serialized equipment exist, for which the construction type and material number are different, and these numbers should be kept synchronous in the future.
The conversion program synchronizes the construction type in all master records without taking into account the maintained value of the material number.
After the conversion, in Customizing for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service under Maintain Equipment Category, you can set the indicator such that the construction type must always be the same as the material number.
