Purpose

SAP R/3 Enterprise Core 4.70 (SAP_APPL 470) closes functional gaps in the configuration of serial numbers (and of equipment master records). Up to now the following limitations existed:

  • For referenced configurations (for example, using the configuration of a sales document item), the configuration master record could be mistakenly deleted (for example, by deleting the item), although the serial number still requires it.
  • A configured serial number cannot be archived.

Both restrictions are now highlighted by a suitable registration of configuration references.

Report RIXPRA10 thereby takes over the (inital) registration of pre-existing configuration references.

The newly-created configuration references in the production operation are automatically registered for the runtime.

For futher information on the functionality, see SAP note 486752.

Prerequisites

As only configuration references that lie in the new (existing from release 4.5) configuration storage CBASE are considered, before executing RIXPRA10 you should perform a conversion to the new storage (if you have any configurations in the old storage in your system).

The corresponding conversion report for configuration management is called RMCUINOBTOIBASEMARA.

Features

If you do not enter any equipment numbers, then the report checks all the serial numbers (equipment) in relation to your configuration references. If the test mode is switched off, the missing registrations are collected later.
