Purpose

You use this report to monitor a selection of work tickets, either to identify work tickets that have exceeded their validity period, or to identify work tickets that need to be rejected (discarded).

Work tickets must be numbered in a continuous sequence of running numbers; no gaps in the sequence are allowed. Therefore, it is not possible to delete a work ticket once it has been created. Since a work ticket cannot be deleted, you discard a work ticket to indicate that it is invalid, incorrectly created, or no longer required.

In SAP, a work ticket is a type of work clearance application (WCA) object. Maintenance and operations workers create work tickets to coordinate the information requirements, tasks, and approvals associated with plant maintenance work. A work ticket type corresponds to a value in the Usage of WCM Object field.

In China, national GB (guobiao) safety standards apply to maintenance work and work safety in power generation plants. The standards are commonly referred to as the Two-Ticket (TTS) and Three-Operation Management (TOS) Systems. These standards outline the types of work ticket that are required for maintenance work and the requirements for compliance with national standards.

Integration

An individual work ticket can also be discarded in change mode (transaction WCTL), under Work Ticket Type > Functions > Reject.

Prerequisites

You are using enhanced Work Clearance Management (WCM) functions within Plant Maintenance (PM).

You have implemented the PM, Two-Ticket Localization Topics for China business function.

The user has the correct authorization to monitor work tickets.

Features

This report can be used to monitor work tickets using a variety of selection criteria. You can also use the report to discard either an individual or a selection of work tickets. Key selection criteria include the work ticket type, approval details, and remaining validity.

Note: Discarding a work ticket changes its system status to rejected(REJC), which prevents further processing. Once a work ticket is discarded, the rejectedstatus cannot be revoked.

The system retrieves the work ticket data that correspond to the selection criteria from the WCM: Application (WCAAP) table. The report data is restricted to those work tickets that have value in the Permit End field. Work tickets that have a system status of closed(CLSD) are not included in the report.

Selection

You can restrict the work ticket selection using details, as follows:

  • The Review before Discarding checkbox controls how the report is processed, as follows:
  • If the checkbox is selected, then when the report is executed, the report output displays a list of work tickets that match the selection criteria

  • If the checkbox is not selected, then you are prompted to enter a discard reason. Note that this reason must apply to all work tickets that are being discarded. When you execute the report, all work tickets that match the selection criteria are discarded and the report output displays a list of all discarded work tickets. You can enter either a short or long text reason for discarding the work ticket.

  • Application
  • Planning plant
  • Usage (work ticket type)
  • Work Responsible (maintenance supervisor)
  • Approval Status
  • Remaining Validity
These fields allow you to select work tickets that are expiring within a specified time period. Work tickets with a the Permit End field value that occurs within the specified time period are then included in the report. You can nominate a time period, as follows:
  • Within hours

  • Within a nominated period

Note: Your company requirements will determine how often and with what criteria you run this report. For large data volumes, for example, you can schedule this report to run regularly as a background job.

Standard Variants

No standard variant delivered.

Output

The report output depends on the following:

  • If you have selected the Review before Discardingcheckbox, then the selected work tickets are displayed in the SAP List Viewer. The system displays the following information by default:
  • Work ticket number

  • System status

  • Approval level (work ticket processing status)

  • Planning information

You can investigate work tickets from the results screen. To reject a work ticket, select a line item and choose the Discard work ticketpushbutton. You are prompted with a system message to enter a reason.
  • If you have deselected the Review before Discardingcheckbox, then discarded work tickets are displayed in the SAP List Viewer

Note: When you enter a discard reason, it is saved in the work ticket under Goto > Additional Info > Text > Rejection.

Activities

To access this report on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Plant Maintenance >Operations and Safety Management for China >Two-Ticket System > Work Tickets > Work Ticket Monitor (transaction TTS_DSWT).

Example

For example, a colleague has accidentally created two work tickets for the same maintenance work. He has provided you with the work ticket number of the correct work ticket as well as the number of the work ticket that must be rejected.

You proceed as follows:

  • Enter the work ticket number in the Work Ticket No. field and leave the Review before Discarding checkbox selected
  • After executing the report, you confirm that you have identified the work ticket that must be rejected
  • You select the work ticket and choose the Discard work ticketpushbutton. When prompted, you enter a reason for the rejection, recording that the work ticket was a duplicate and referencing the correct work ticket
