Description

Program RJ-J2NEU can be used to reorganize information structures from old documents. It reads IS-M/SD correction orders (complaints and returns) and updates the statistical data in the information structures as if the documents had been created.

The program currently only processes correction orders that are resident in the system; archived correction orders cannot be processed for reorganization at present.

For detailed information on the procedure for reorganizing information structures, please see Reorganize statistical data in the section of the IMG dealing with the Media Information System.

Function details

  • Version for reorganization
The program reads the selected correction orders and triggers the statistics update. The difference between this procedure and the online update is that the statistical data in an onling update are recorded under version and in a reorganization run under a version number you specify on the selection screen. The version specified for reorganization must either begin with '&(' or be the number '000' since all others are reserved for planning functions.
Version '000' is the version under which 'productive actual data' is managed in the Logistics Information System. This means that data that has already been updated may still exist after the reorganization if you did not explicitly specify version '000' on the selection screen.
  • Redetermining update groups and updating documents
You can specify on the selection screen whether the program is to redetermine the update groups for the correction orders (parameter 'Redetermine update group') and update them in the correction orders (parameter 'Update orders'). If you select these parameters, changes made in customizing since the correction orders were recorded are taken into account in the reorganization run and entered in these documents. (However, it is not possible to update archived documents.)
  • Delimiting run time
You can specify on the selection screen when the program is to cancel the reorganization run ('Cancellation date' and 'Cancellation time'). For example, you could specify for a run that continues over a weekend that the reorganization is to be cancelled on Monday morning when online operations resume. This is particularly important if the correction orders are locked during the run (see below). The status at the cancellation time is recorded in a table (TMCW3) so that you can continue processing later by specifying a run name ('Run name').
  • Lock all correction orders
You can select the parameter 'Lock all orders' to prevent correction orders being changed while the information structures are being reorganized. You can leave the parameter blank for test runs.
  • Error handling
If the program identifies a document containing an error (for example, the customer in the document does not exist), it writes the document to the batch log and the document is not included in reorganization.

Requirements

The program should only be run in the background. Exception: Test system with small dataset.

When running the report, please note the steps described in the IMG step Reorganize statistical data.
