RKEPLUMS - CO-PA: Convert Planning 2.2 -> 3.0

Description

This program lets you convert the row/column structures which you created in CO-PA Planning up to Release 2.2 so that you can use them as planning layouts in Release 3.0.

The various new possibilities in planning in Release 3.0 can cause certain problems for row/column structures from 2.2:

Release 3.0 uses a specific name range for standard planning layouts delivered with the system. Consequently, row/column structures which begin with a number cannot be converted.

In 3.0 you are required to define the characteristic of the lead column in the planning layout (instead of when you go into planning). In order to make it possible for you to use your 2.2 row/column structures in multi-segment planning for which you did not specify a characteristic, this conversion program creates planning layouts with the characteristic you specified in the parameter "Characteristic".

In 3.0 planning you can define variables for the characteristic values in the planning layout (similar to the information system). When planning, you need to specify values for these variables. Up to and including Release 2.2, you could link a characteristic group to a plan version, in which case the system offered you the characteristics in that group. Otherwise you received all the characteristics.

If you set the parameter "Characteristic group" for this program, the system adds corresponding variables for the characteristic values in the general data selection of the planning layouts being converted. Otherwise it creates one variable for each characteristic. This makes it possible for you to simulate 2.2 planning in 3.0.

Finally, you also need to specify the period type in the planning layout. This is done using the parameter "Weekly planning".
