Purpose

You can use this program to delete data relating to Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) from the SAP HANA database.

Integration

Prerequisites

You have the following authorization:

  • Activity 66 (type Update) for authorization object K_KA_TREC.

Features

This program enables data for a selected operating concern (see Selection) to be deleted from the following tables:

  • Actual Line Items (CE1<XXXX>)
  • Plan Line Items (CE2<XXXX>)

The processing options enable the program to be used either in the test mode or production mode:

  • In the test mode, the program outputs a preview of the changes to the database that would have occurred in the production mode (see also the section Output).
  • In the production mode, the program deletes the data and issues a log.

Selection

Most of the selection criteria are the same as those used for archiving. Restrict your selection by specifying the following:

  • Four-character key (<XXXX>) for the operating concern
  • Key for the company code
  • Controlling area (the highest organizational unit in Controlling)
  • Fiscal year (generally a period of 12 months; it can differ from the calendar year)
  • Posting period (part of the fiscal year) Each business transaction is assigned to a posting period. The transaction data of the business transactions are cumulated for each posting period.
  • Indicator for Plan or Actual. You use this indicator to specify whether Plan Line Items (CE2<XXXX>) or Actual Line Items (CE1<XXXX>) are deleted.
  • In the case of plan line items, the version number (in the case of different plan data for the same object)
  • Record type (determines the origin of the data used in CO-PA)
  • Standard Variants

Output

The program outputs a preview or a log containing the following information:

  • Selection criteria used
  • Number of data records

Activities

Example

You can delete the data for previous fiscal years, for example, because it is not relevant for current analyses or because it has already been archived in the ERP system.
