Purpose

To check the replication of data for an operation concern between SAP ERP and SAP HANA.

Integration

Prerequisites

Since data may need to be written to SAP HANA, you need the following authorization: Activity 66 (= Update Summarization Levels) for authorization object K_KA_TREC.

Features

This report enables you to compare specific actual and plan data for an operating concern from the SAP HANA database against the data from SAP ERP. After the check, the system outputs a log detailing the results of the check.

Depending on the selection criteria, the system checks the completeness of the data from table CE1XXXX (actual line items) and/or table CE2XXXX (plan line items) for the specified operating concern (whereby XXXX = operating concern).

Selection

The selection criteria are based on those for the archiving reports.

  • Operating concern: Unique, four-character key for the CO organizational unit “Operating Concern”.
  • Company code: Key that uniquely identifies a company code.
  • Controlling area: The controlling area represents the highest organizational unit in Controlling.
  • Fiscal year: Usually a period of 12 months for which the organization must generate its inventory and balance sheet. The fiscal year may match the calendar year, but does not have to.
  • Period: A posting period is a self-contained part of a fiscal year. Each business transaction is assigned to a posting period. The transaction data of the different business transactions are cumulated for each posting period.
  • The plan/actual indicator controls whether plan line items (table CE2XXXX) or actual line items (CE1XXXX) are deleted.
  • Version number: The version enables you to keep two or more sets of plan data for the same object. It is only relevant for plan line items.
  • Record type: Record types in CO-PA tell you what type of business transaction the data transferred to CO-PA comes from.

There are also the following control parameters:

  • Correct Errors Automatically: If the check establishes that table entries are missing in SAP HANA for the specified selection criteria, the system transfers the missing table entries to SAP HANA.

Standard Variants

Output

The log displays the selection criteria used, whether there were variances between the corresponding tables in SAP ERP and SAP HANA for these criteria, and, in the case of such variances, the keys of the missing table entries. If you have selected the option whereby the missing entries are written to SAP HANA, the system issues a success message.
