RKE_HDB_SLT_SETTINGS - CO-PA Alternative Replication: Settings

Purpose

For certain CO-PA applications, you can specify that the application must wait until the newly generated CO-PA documents have been replicated to SAP HANA before it continues processing.

You can also specify in the settings that if replication takes too long, warnings are to be sent to selected e-mail recipients or the application is to be terminated. This can be useful, for example, to optimize the processing of status-dependent job chains whereby if a job is delayed due to an overly long replication time, a warning is triggered to report this so that a potential termination of the job chain can be prevented.

Integration

Prerequisites

You are using the CO-PA Accelerator with the "Alternative Replication" option.

Features

Selection

First select the CO-PA applications that are to wait until the newly created CO-PA documents have been replicated.

When one of these CO-PA applications is run, the system does not continue processing until the new CO-PA documents have been fully replicated to SAP HANA. The system starts to measure the time taken as of the point at which the data is posted to the primary database. You can specify three time points at which either a warning message is to be triggered or the application is to be terminated if replication is not finished, that is, not all CO-PA documents are available in SAP HANA.

In addition to writing a warning to the job log (in the case of background processing) or outputting an error, the system can also send an e-mail to selected recipients specifying how many of the new CO-PA documents expected have already been transferred to SAP HANA.
