Purpose

You can use this program to transfer actual data and plan data from operating concerns to the SAP HANA database. You need to ensure regular data transfers if you want to use the accelerated version of Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) with SAP HANA.

Integration

Prerequisites

You have activated the SAP HANA-supported acceleration of CO-PA for the relevant operating concern and performed all necessary steps in Customizing. For this, use SAP HANA: Customizing for the relevant operating concern (transaction KEHC).

You have set up the connection from ERP to the SAP HANA database. Use Description of Database Connections (transaction DBCO) to set up the connection.

Features

You can use the program for the initial data transfer as well as for transfers of data changes.

If the program does not find any data in the SAP HANA database for the relevant operating concern, it automatically performs an initial data transfer. You can also force the initial data transfer so as to overwrite existing data in the SAP HANA database.

For transfers of data changes, the program identifies actual data and plan data that is new in ERP and transfers this data to the SAP HANA database.

In the case of large volumes of data, you can use parallel processes to transfer data. However, this option is only available when you start the program in the background.

Selection

Specify the following parameters for the data transfer:

  • Choose Force Initial Data Transfer if the structures of operating concerns have changed.
  • Specify the server group that you have configured in Maintain RFC Server Groups (transaction RZ12) for the execution of this program.
  • Specify the number of parallel processes that you would like to use for the data transfer. Restrict the number to the maximum number of processes permitted for the server group.
  • Specify the package size. We recommend a package size of more than 1000 entries and less than 100,000 entries.Specify one operating concern for the transfer of plan and actual data.
