Title

Conversion to general status management: Order types

Purpose

Functions were added to the general status management for Release 4.0, which could previously only be used in order status management. Now you are able do the following:

,,- Define a status-dependent field selection

,,- Assign status-dependent authorizations

,,- Make selections by status number

This means that order status management is no longer necessary, and this will no longer be supported in future releases. Therefore, SAP recommends that you no longer use order status management.

The RKOSTAT1 program enables you to automatically convert order types from order status management to the general status management.

Selection

Selection is made using the order type, where only orders types with category 01 (CO internal order), 02 (CO accrual order) are selected.

Output

Once the program has run, the list screen displayed contains the error messages and the number of selected and converted order types.

Activities

The RKOSTAT1 program for converting order types is started in the system in which you customize. It is linked to the Customizing Organizer to enable transport of the generated status profiles and the converted order types.

The system generates a status profile for all of the selected order types whose order status management is activated. It then enters the status profile in the order type and then the general status management is activated in the order type. The profile name comprises a prefix (displayed on the selection screen) and the order type. The logon language is the maintenance language for the profile. A field selection that may have been defined for each order status is transferred to the generated user status.
