RMDATINF - Transfer Material Master Data by Direct Input: Display Logical Errors
General Material Data General Data in Customer MasterThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Description
You use this program to display incorrect data from data transfers with program RMDATIND and, if necessary, to correct the data.
Requirements
You must have started the data transfer with transaction BMV0 or program RBMVSHOW. The name of the background job is the name of the job that you entered in transaction BMV0.
Parameters
- Job name
As specified in BMV0. If you transferred data online as a test, that is, started RMDATIND direct, choose ONLINE as the name.
- Message level
The messages assigned to this level are displayed.
Actions
After executing the program, an error list is displayed:
- Error messages have a red background.
- Warnings have a yellow background.
- Other messages have no particular color.
Each error message contains the table affected by the error. By double-clicking an error message, you can display all tables involved in a transaction. By then double-clicking the table required, you can display the contents of the table for the transaction chosen.
By choosing "Sort", you can display the fields either alphabetically or in their ABAP/4 Dictionary order.
In Change mode, the value fields are ready for input. If you change and store the data, you change only the error data from the data transfer and not the actual database tables. To transfer the changed data to the database tables, you must choose Error processing -> Correct errors in BMV0.
When changing data, please note the following:
- The possible entries pushbutton (F4) works only if possible entries have been stored.
- With the exception of incorrect date formats and numerical entries in non-numerical fields (and vice versa), the entries are not checked.
- To display the help text as on the screen, press F1.
- No matchcodes are available.
Once you save your changes, you cannot undo them again.
Caution
You can easily destroy data by changing and saving it without serious thought.
