RMPS_UNRESERVE - Deletion of Reservations

Purpose

This program deletes the reservation of a unique indicator that was generated using generation rules, see Customizing under Define Generation Rules

Only delete reservations if you are sure that there is no object that uses the corresponding indicator. This program should only be used as a tool for repairing inconsistent data.

Note that the context counter and number ranges cannot be reset. If you edit this type of rule, the system deletes the reservation. It does not however observe it when the next indicator is assigned and it is reset to the previous status.

This program only resets the context counter for a rule if the last indicator for a rule is deleted.

Number ranges must be reset separately.

Selection

If you select the checkbox field "Short Log", a shortened log is displayed. We recommend that you do not select this checkbox.

If you select the checkbox field "Test Run", you can check whether an indicator is reserved without deleting it. The system does not delete any entries from the database.
