Description

The public list provides an overview of the patients who are present at the selected time. Three types of attendance can be selected either individually or in combination:

  • Inpatient present:
  • Discharged inpatient (X days ago):
  • Outpatient present:

The public list displays all patients which satisfy the entries in the selection screen and for which the public list indicator list is not set.

If you create the public list for present inpatients, admissions planned for the day in question are also taken into account. The system does not take into account any other planned movements when creating the public list. You can execute further processing using this list by re-sorting the list or entering further restrictions in a dialog box and creating a sublist.

Instead of the public list, we recommend the use of views of the Occupancy/Arrivals/Departures or Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility view type of the clinical work station.

Integration

The following system parameters influence the behavior of the public list:

  • ADE_BER
You use this institution-related system parameter to control whether the display of the addresses of a patient is permitted in the public list.
  • FRISTPFL
You use this system parameter to determine the number of days within which the discharges should also be included. If the system parameter is not maintained, the system will preset the value with 6 days.

Prerequisites

When executing the public list the system will check whether you are authorized for the institution. Institutions for which you are not authorized are not included in the public list.

Features

Selection

The following selection criteria is available for controlling the execution of the report:

  • Institution
You can also create the public list for several institutions. When displaying the report, the system uses a new page for each institution an displays the name of the institution in the page header.
  • Date
You determine the date for the creation of the public list.
  • Time
You use the date and time to determine the time for the creation of the public list.
  • Present Inpatients
The public list displays all patients who are admitted as inpatients but not discharged, or for whom a planned admission exists at the time of creation.
  • Discharged Inpatients - Since Days
The public list displays all patients who were discharged within days (Since Days) before the key date. The number of days can be preset using the system parameter FRISTPFL.
  • Present Outpatients
The public list displays all patients who have an outpatient visit on the key date and are present.
  • Display Absences
If you select this checkbox, present inpatients who have been granted a leave of absence, are highlighted in the list.
  • Sort Order
This determines the sort order of the patients within an institution. You can sort alphabetically or according to the organizational units. You can also change the sort order in the list.

Standard Variants

Output

The public list displays a list of patients according to the selected sort order. This list displays two rows for each patient: The first row contains patient information including the name, sex, birthdate, and nursing organizational unit. The second row contains information on the movement including the admission and discharge date, room, and telephone number. In case of discharged patients the list contains Discharged in the column for the admission date. In case of planned admissions, the discharge date column contains Planned.

The list consists of several columns, and a page break is inserted when

  • The institution changes
  • The starting letter changes
  • The organizational unit changes

Activities

You can further process the list:

  • Re-sort the list
In the list you can toggle the sort order between alphabetical sorting and sorting by organizational unit.
  • Sublist
You can use a dialog box to further restrict the list. You can restrict using the name, first name, birthdate, sex, organizational unit, and type of presence (present/absent). You can use the existing list to create a sublist taking these restrictions into account. In the sublist you can also display patients who have the public lock indicator set. The sublist uses the sort order of the basic list, but you can change this. You can branch from a sublist to another sublist but will always return to the basic list.
