SAP E-Book

Purpose

The report updates the patient data in the batch-input using the function SAP Patient Master Data: Initial Screen (transaction NP01). Errored records will be saved in a batch input session.

The patient number will be saved in the table N1PATFAL. Successive reports (batch input cases, transfers, discharges) read the patient number from here.

If errors occur when the patients are being loaded (e.g. an attempt is made to assign an existing case to a different patient), an error entry will be created in the error table and the successive reports will no longer process this case. A warning entry is created if the 'critical' patient data (last name, first name, maiden name, sex and birthdate) of an existing case is changed.

Integration

Use report RN1SBMJB (job control for batch input data transfer) to execute this report.

Prerequisites

A structure definition (tables TNT2 and TNT2S) must exist for the sequential dataset.

Features

Selection

The following selection parameters are available for controlling the data transfer:

Selection for creation of batch input session

  • Institution
  • Session name
  • Record ID
  • Name of sequential dataset
  • Records to be transferred

Record and subrecord types

  • Are there record/subrecord types
  • Offset record indicators
  • Record indicator lengths
You must enter the record ID of the records to be processed and the entire name of the sequential dataset. If the sequential dataset contains various record types (which is normally the case), you must check the Are there Record Types field and enter the offset and the length of record type indicator.

Settings

  • Internal number allocation
  • Error log
If you check Error Log, all errors are logged.
  • Total log
  • Test mode

If the field "Test mode" is checked, no batch input session will be created.

  • Overall log

The overall log shows you all screen fields and the relevant content.

Standard Variants

Output

The report creates a batch input session and generates a log.

Patient numbers are saved in the table N1PATFAL during the creation of the batch input session. Errors are stored in the error table (database table N1RISMIS)

Activities

In order to complete the patient data import you must execute the report RNUVVDEBI after this report. Report RNUVVDEBI updates the customer for the patients.
