Purpose

Using Personnel Obligations Statistics you get an overview of accumulated and average personnel minutes. These relate to the surgery time entry or the times from the team entry. The personnel minutes are listed according to date, discipline and operating room.

Integration

Prerequisites

Features

Selection

You can restrict the evaluation according to institution, organizational unit (OU), operating room, task and case type. For the selection of the OU, only ones of the 'operative area' type are taken into account. For the selection of the time stamps, only ones of type 'D' (Duration) are taken into account.

You can select between the Surgery Time Entry and Team Entry evaluation variants.
For the Surgery Time Entry evaluation , the calculation of personnel minutes is based on the surgery times entered. In the evaluation, the system ignores surgeries which did not have the relevant time stamps maintained.
For the Team Entry evaluation , the calculation of personnel minutes is based on the times entered for members of the surgery team. The system does not take into account the specification of a time stamp here.

For both evaluation variants you can select whether only main surgeries or only secondary surgeries are to be evaluated. In either case you have to select a suitable time stamp if the evaluation is based on surgery time entry.

Shift Times

In the Personnel Shift Times section you can enter the start and end times of the regular or late shift. Times outside of the regular or late shift are considered on-call.

If the start of the regular shift contains the value 00:00:00, it means that the regular shift starts at 00:00:00. If the end of the regular shift contains the value 00:00:00, it means that no regular shift has been defined. If the regular shift is to end at midnight, enter 24:00:00 as the end of the regular shift.

If the end of the late shift contains the value 00:00:00, it means that no late shift has been defined. If the late shift is to end at midnight, enter 24:00:00 as the end of the late shift.

If you do not define any shift times, all fields must contain value 00:00:00. The system will then evaluate all surgeries as on-call.

If you select Include Plant Calendar, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are included as on-call.

You use the checkbox in front of the weekdays to explicitly define the weekdays that the evaluation is going to be made for. You also have to define this even if you do not define any personnel shift times. All weekdays are selected as the default setting. You can however define any other combination and save it in a selection variant. The system will not evaluate any data for weekdays which have not been checked.

Standard Variants

Output

The system groups output according to date (layout variant 1SAP_DATUM) and within a date, according to shift times, OU and operating room. You use the 2SAP_DIENST layout variant to group output according to shift type. You use the 3SAP_ERBOE layout variant to group output according to OU.

For evaluation according to surgery time entry, the system calculates the surgery duration from the start and end time of the selected time stamp. The system breaks down the surgery duration within a date according to shift times and displays it totaled according to OU and operating room. The statistic-relevant time decides which set of shift times a surgery occurred in. The total of personnel minutes is calculated by multiplying the surgery duration by the number of members in the surgery team of the selected tasks. The system does not take into account tasks which do not have named employees assigned to them. The number of surgeries results from the assignment of surgeries for the shift times. The average personnel minutes is calculated by the total of staff minutes divided by the number of surgeries.

For evaluation according to team entry, the system determines directly the sum of personnel minutes from the activity times of members of a surgery team; the time stamp is therefore not relevant here. The system determines the number of surgeries and the average number of staff minutes in the same ways as in the surgery time entry evaluation variant.

If the Include Plant Calendar indicator is set, the date is marked with 'F' in output if it concerns a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday.
