Purpose

You use this report to send service data for outpatient and inpatient cases to the Basic Medical Insurance (BMI) or other insurance providers. You can upload services to only one insurance provider at a time.

Integration

Prerequisites

  • You have implemented a Business Add-In (BAdI) implementation for the event UPSRV in Customizing for SAP Healthcare - Industry-Specific Components for Hospitals under Communication -> Prepare Synchronous Communication Between Systems -> Business Add-In (BAdI) -> BAdI for Flexible Synchronous Communication.
The event UPSRV is used for the uploading of services. SAP provides you with a sample BAdI implementation Implementation: Uploading of Services to BMI (EI_ISH_COMM_SERVICE_UPLOAD).
  • You have configured inbound and outbound structures for the event UPSRV in Customizing for SAP Healthcare - Industry-Specific Components for Hospitals under Communication -> Prepare Synchronous Communication Between Systems -> CN: Assign Communication Structures to Events.
  • You have assigned a logging class to the event UPSRV in Customizing for SAP Healthcare - Industry-Specific Components for Hospitals under Communication -> Prepare Synchronous Communication Between Systems -> Assign ABAP OO Memory Class to IS-H Event.

Features

Selection

The Institution and Insurance Provider fields are mandatory. You enter the insurance provider to which you want to upload services in the Insurance Provider field.

You can select the cases for which you want to upload services by specifying the following:

  • Patient number
  • Case number
  • Case type

You can decide whether or not extended services are uploaded. By default, only immediate services are uploaded. If the Extended Service checkbox is selected, both immediate services and extended services are uploaded.

In the File Path field, you enter a file path where temporary files used in communication with insurance providers are stored.

You can also run this report in test mode.

Standard Variants

Output

All the cases that you selected are displayed in the SAP List Viewer. The traffic light of a case indicates whether the services assigned to the case have been uploaded successfully.

The meanings of different traffic lights are as follows:

  • Green light
There is no error with a case. The services assigned to the case have been uploaded successfully.
  • Red light
There are errors with a case. You must correct the errors before you can upload the services assigned to the case.

You choose a case number to display the details of the services uploaded for the case, which contain the following data:

  • Institution
  • Case number
  • Service sequence number
  • Upload sequence number
  • Service name
  • Quantity
  • Price
  • Cancellation indicator

If changes are made to services for a case after you have run the report for the case, when you run the report for the case again, the services that are uploaded are adjusted accordingly. For example, if a service for a case is cancelled after you have uploaded it, when you run the report for the case again, the service is marked with a cancellation indicator, meaning that the uploading of the service is revoked.

When you run this report in test mode, services are not uploaded.
