Description

This report is used to automatically postprocess the EDI data records that were stored with the status "internal error, automatic postprocessing".

The exact behavior varies according to whether the EDI procedure uses the EDIFACT format (for example, P301 in Germany) or fixed field-length format (for example, P321 in Austria).

  • In the case of EDI procedures with EDIFACT format, automatic postprocessing is only possible for EDI data records that were stored with the status "internal error, automatic postprocessing" in the NC301W table. The table contains EDI messages that could not be written to the application during the first import attempt (for example, due to a lock problem, no authorization, and so on). In this program run, the system attempts to write the data record to the database. If this fails a second time, the record is stored with the status "internal error, manual processing".
  • In contrast to the above, in the case of EDI procedures with fixed field-length format, if the reprocessing attempt fails, the status of the EDI data record is NOT set to "internal error, manual processing". Thus not only one reprocessing attempt is made, but such are attempts are continued until the temporary cause no longer exists (for example, case locked ), or the EDI processing agent manually interacts. In addition, the entries in the NC301W table are not a prerequisite for the functionality.

Requirements

To execute this program, you need the authorization S_PROGRAM with the action SUBMIT for the authorization group specified in the report attributes.

The authorization N_EINR_REP is also required for the institutions in question and the report. If this authorization is not available for individual institutions, the relevant data is not output and cannot be changed.

This program cannot process every message for which the "internal error, automatic processing" status is set manually. The prerequisites for automatic postprocessing are only satisfied if the system has set this this status during the import process. If this status is set manually for a message that the system did not classify as an "internal error", processing does not take place. Information to this effect is given in the output list.

For such messages, automatic processing is in general inappropriate or not expedient.

Output

The messages that were processed manually are written to the IS-H database.
