Description

This is the central generation program for EDI segment structures. It re-generates the source code of all main includes of the message standards. These main includes are incorporated in all message standard-related programs.

All message standards are processed for which a main include is specified in the standard definition (TNCST, field MAININCL). This program is not suitable for SAP-HCM and HL7. RNCGEN00 and RNCGEN90 accommodate these message standards.

If a secondary include is specified for the message standard, it is automatically incorporated into the main include. Otherwise, all required segment structures are checked. Structure definitions are stored in the source code for message segments that are directly composed of fields. For group segments (these are segments that are themselves composed of segments), only the consistency is checked.

Segments identified as containing errors are flagged as such in the database. These cannot be used and must be corrected. To get a comprehensive overview of segments that contain errors, proceed as follows: In message segment maintenance, select the segments whose status is 'F' by choosing "Selection by Contents".

Requirements

1) A main include must be specified in the standard definition (table TNCST, field MAININCL).

2) The main include must exist (created with attributes, any source text (will be overwritten)).

3) The segment structures must be maintained in the IS-HCM message structures.

Output

The user is notified of successful execution. The number of segments that contain errors is specified. These segments are flagged as errored in the database.
