Description

The report creates geographical statistics for organizational units (OUs) for the entire institution.

Requirements
Case logging in the geographical area statistics is available for the Without Geographical Area row, but only when the evaluation relates to the institution.

You can maintain which geographical areas are used for the statistics under LS>Information Systems -> Statistics Structure -> Configure Geographical Area Statistics in the IS-H Implementation Guide.

Output

Companions and newborns

The system does not include outpatient visits and absences.

It outputs the following information for each OU:

  1. The number of cases treated
A case is regarded as treated if at least one movement of the case has a departmental or nursing assignment to the organizational unit (depending on the evaluation view). Each case is only counted once for each organizational unit.
  1. The number of patient days
Patient days are counted according to the midnight patient censuses. If the movement of a case ends at exactly midnight, one patient day is calculated. However, no patient day is calculated for movements which start at exactly midnight, because a patient day was already assigned to the previous movement which ended at exactly midnight. The start of the movement is then specified as midnight of the following day.
  1. The number of billing days.
The billing days are determined according to the Federal Regulation for Hospitals (Germany) §9 section 2.3.
