RNUNKSD_NTC - IS-H: Check NKSD Before PPA Billing (New Treatment Certificates)

Purpose

This program generates missing details for treatment certificates (table NKSD).

Technical background:

When the business function "New Treatment Certificates" is activated, the system records a separate billing status for each treatment certificate and stores it in table NKSD.

Previously, the system only created a table entry for a treatment certificate if you had entered details.

Error situation

If you activate the business function "New Treatment Certificates", you cannot transfer cases to PPA billing if there are no certificate details in the table. The system displays an error message.

Integration

To generate the missing details for the existing certificates manually, including their current billing status, you can also access treatment certificate maintenance in transaction NP44 and save the changes.

Please note that in the case of existing (old) treatment certificates, the system assumes that you will only enter one certificate per quarterly case for cases that are relevant for PPA billing. Otherwise, you may have to take individual steps to generate the correct billing status for the case and certificate.

Prerequisites

You can only use this program if you have activated the business function "New Treatment Certificates" (ISH_TC).

Execute the program at a time when system load is low and, if necessary, in background processing, since the program may check large volumes of system data.

The program locks all the selected cases in blocks. For this reason, you should only execute it in update mode at times when you do not expect to be making changes to the selected cases. Use several case selections to split up the data.

Features

The program selects outpatient PPA cases from a case selection and creates blank certificate details (NKSD) for their treatment certificates if the details do not yet exist.

The system checks the billing status of certificates whose status (NKSD-ABRKZ) is blank according to the case, transfer, and billing data, and adjusts it if necessary.

The system does not make changes to the database in test mode.

Selection

You can execute the program for a case selection or for one or more cases for an institution.

Output

The changes (to be) made are logged in a simple list.

The following messages are displayed:

• Message type: E

Message: Error while locking case

Explanation: The case cannot be processed automatically since it is locked by another user.

• Message type: E

Message: Error while unlocking case

Explanation: An unexpected error occurred while unlocking the case.

• Message type: S

Message: (I)nsert / (U)pdate

Explanation: The system has created a new (blank) NKSD record for the treatment certificate.

The billing status of the certificate was generated in accordance with the billing/transfer data for the case.
