ROIB_QCI_EN_RFC - Enable/Disable RFC call for selected Conversion groups

Purpose

As of SAP Oil & Gas 4.72, the conversion group Customizing table contains a new field RFC_RELEASE.

Integration

If you set this indicator, the conversion group can be selected by external applications which may utilize the RFC enabled function module OIB_QCI_GET_CONVGRP_AND_PARAM. Then, external applications may utilize the conversion group information in order to perform an RFC call of function module OIB_QCI_CONVERSION_SIMPLE.

This function module may then execute routines which are NOT delivered by SAP, but are part of license agreements of other software providers, for example, the American Petroleum Institute (API) or the American Gas Association (AGA). SAP does not release any conversion groups for external applications that utilize such non-SAP software when performing quantity conversions.

With this report, the indicator can be set for a defined conversion group. It is delivered so that customers can define their own conversion groups that utilize customer-specific conversion routines which can be used using the RFC technology beyond system boundaries. SAP does not intend to develop any functions that are released for customers that carry out quantity conversions based on third party software solutions.

Since this new field is not utilized at present, the report is delivered with a additional EXIT command that prevents execution.
