RPASR_PA_WRITE - Archiving/Destruction: Write Program for Employee Processes

Purpose

You can use this program to archive completed employee processes (application type PA) that you no longer require in the database. The write program is used together with the related delete program for the archiving object HR Administrative Services: Employee Processes (HRASR_PA), which supports the Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) functions for data destruction and archiving.

During the write phase, for each object instance, the system evaluates country-specific rules that you specified in the Information Retention Manager (IRM) (transaction IRM_CAT or IRMPOL). The system thus determines the retention period and the storage location for the data object.

Integration

You use transaction AOBJ to control the programs for the archiving object. You have the delete program RPASR_PA_DELETE available for the archiving object HRASR_PA.

Prerequisites

You need to have created the policies and rules for retaining employee processes in the Information Retention Manager.

Features

The program does not write any changes to the database tables. It reads the database tables of the application, checks the status of the employee processes that match the selection, and writes these to an archive file. Only processes (application type PA) with the status Completed are archived.

Selection

The parameters have the following meanings:

• Archive/Destroy Until

In this field, enter the date until which employee processes are to be considered. This date is synchronized with the date on which an employee process was completed. You always need to fill this field.

• Process

You can enter the name of an individual employee process (for example, BIRTH_OF_CHILD_01) that is to be archived. Use this field primarily for test purposes.

• Country Grouping

If you fill this field, only those employee processes that belong to the country grouping entered are considered.

• Personnel Number

You can restrict the selection to the employee processes that belong to the personnel number entered. Use this field primarily for test purposes.
