  • Update Tax Australiainformation including newly added Income Typeand Country/Region Codeusing the same Excel template.

  • This program should only be used for preparing IT0188 records for STP-2.
  • This is a utility for selecting all IT0188 records from the start of the financial year (in which STP-2 goes live), and automatically delimiting/updating them with required information such as the newly added mandatory Income Typeand Country/Region Codefields (in some cases) or new tax scales.

Integration

Prerequisites

Features

Selection

Period

In Reporting Periodselect 'Other Period', with the beginning of the financial year in which STP-2 goes live as the Start Dateand December 31, 9999 as the End Date.

Note:

  • This start date will also be used to split existing records; old record will be delimited and new records will start on this date.
  • Other start and end dates can be used, however in that case the program may not be able to select all the records that need to be modified for STP-2.

Selection Criteria

In this section, provide the criteria for selecting specific employees for whom IT0188 data needs to be updated.

Note:

  • By default only Active employees are selected.
  • The same selection criteria are applied in the 'Upload' mode also. That is, Excel data that matches all selection criteria will be used for database upload, while other Excel records are rejected.

Additional Selection Criteria

Specify the Tax Scaleand the Income Typeto select and update a specific set of IT0188 records. Use these fields only when required, otherwise leave them blank.

Mode of Program

This program can be run in both Download and Upload modes.

  • Select Downloadto generate an Excel template for the Upload operation. The Excel file will contain all IT0188 records that meet the selection criteria specified.
  • Select Uploadto update the IT0188 records that are downloaded in Excel on matching the selection criteria and are modified manually in the file as needed.
Note: The records are not updated if the data uploaded in the Excel file is the same as the existing record.
  • Select Test Runif you want the program to simulate the upload process but not actually update the database.
Note: Test Run is applicable in the Upload mode only.

File Location

The Excel file can be downloaded to and read from either your local machine or the application server.

  • Select Local Machine(only if executing in foreground) or the Application Serveras the location of the file.
  • In Full File Path, provide the complete path of the location where the file will be saved or from where it will be read.

Note:

  • The local machine cannot be accessed if the program is executed in the background.
  • You can browse the local machine/desktop directory using search help.
  • In the application server, files can be saved and accessed only in the allowed/defaulted directory.

Standard Variants

Output

Excel file:

The Excel file generated in the Download mode will contain all IT0188 records that match the selection criteria. The file contains all user modifiable IT0188 fields along with their descriptions, including the newly added Income Type and Country/Region Code.

The program uses Default Income Type for IT0188 (13INC) feature to pre-populate Income Typeif it is empty. You can change the Income Typeand Country/Region Codevalues in the file if required.

The file also contains Typeand Message fields to indicate the status of the simulated upload and potential errors respectively. Before uploading the same Excel file, you need to modify all records whose status is ‘Error’. Modifying records whose status is ‘Succ’ (successful) is optional.

ALV output:

In all program modes, onscreen output (ALV) is also displayed, which shows the Old and New records from before and after the update.

For the New records, the update status and error messages (simulated in case of Download mode or test run, and actual in case of Upload mode without test run) are also displayed.

Like the Excel output, the onscreen display also shows pre-populated values for Income Typein the New records.

If the program was executed in the Upload mode, only the updated records are displayed in the output.
