Purpose

The report generates the following:

  • Monthly Employer Declaration - In this case, the report displays the details of the employees' tax deducted (PAYE amount), Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) contributions due, and the Skills Development Levy (SDL) due to SARS authorities. The report generates these details on a monthly basis.
  • Employer Reconciliation Declaration(EMP201 (Consolidated)) - In this case, the report displays the liability declaration submitted to SARS by all registered PAYE employers. The report generates this on an annual or a bi-annual basis, based on your selection criteria.

Selection

  • Selection- Specify details such as Personnel number and Payroll Area.
  • Employer Details-
  • PAYE Reference Number - Specify the PAYE tax reference number based on which the report processes the details of the employees' tax deducted (PAYE amount), Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) contributions, and the Skills Development Levy (SDL) due to SARS authorities.

  • Tax Year- Specify the tax year for which you want the report to generate the details.

  • Options
  • EMP 201 - If you select this option, the report displays the details for the month(s) specified in the Monthsfield.

  • EMP201 (Consolidated) - If you select this option, the report displays the details for the entire year or half year, as per your specification.

Standard Variants

Output

On the output screen of the report, the system displays the details of the employees' tax deducted (PAYE amount), Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) contributions and the Skills Development Levy (SDL) details, due to SARS authorities for the period specified in your selection criteria.

If you choose any row on the output screen of this report, the system displays all the records for employees belonging to the specified PAYE reference number.

If you choose the Employee Details button, the system displays the records of all employees belonging to all PAYE reference numbers.

Activities

  1. To access the report from SAP Easy Access screen , choose Human Resources -> Payroll -> Africa-> South Africa -> Subsequent Activities -> Per Payroll Period -> Reporting-> SA:EMP201 Reporting
  2. Enter the relevant information.
  3. Choose Program-> Execute.
