Purpose

This report determines the median of the average remuneration of an employee comparison group in accordance with the German Pay Transparency Act.

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites must be met to achieve appropriate results:

  • The wage types to be considered have been assigned to cumulation wage types. The best way to do this is by using the Implementation Guide (IMG). In Customizing, you can use a BAdI to specify a subapplication in the customer namespace. In the standard SAP system, the subapplication is initially ETRG.
  • Check if other BAdI methods that are available in the Implementation Guide are required and, if necessary, implement them. This includes possibilities to limit the comparison group or to project part-time amounts to the full-time equivalent.
  • The report can be called using an ad hoc query and the comparison group. In this case, this query must also be available.

Features

This report determines the median of the remuneration of the comparison group. Tools for employee communication are not included. The results are not saved to the database.

Selection

You can use the standard selection of the logical database to define the comparison group. It is easier to call the report from a result list of the ad hoc query (for example, using transaction PQAH).

In addition, the following fields can or must be filled in the "Additional Data" area:

  • Evaluation Year: The year entered here determines the calendar year for the evaluation. The previous year is suggested by default.
  • Personnel number of the requester: You have the option to use this field to store the personnel number of the requester. If this field is filled, the remuneration of this person is also determined and compared with the comparison remuneration.
  • Gender of the requester: If the personnel number of the requester should not be entered, the gender of the person can be stored using this field. A check is then carried out to ensure that only persons of the other gender are included in the comparison group
  • Gross Remuneration: You must enter the cumulation wage type here, which represented the gross remuneration for the German Pay Transparency Act.
  • Other remuneration elements: You can enter other cumulation wage types here if additional wage type groups should be evaluated and displayed in addition to the gross remuneration.
  • Detailed Log: If this switch is set, in addition to the actual result (comparison remuneration), the remuneration of the persons from the comparison group are represented on a monthly basis to reproduce the result.

Output

In the first step, the comparison remuneration is displayed for each cumulation wage type. If the personnel number of the requester has been specified, the relevant remuneration is also determined for this person and differences expressed as an amount and as a percentage are issued.

In the second step, if the switch has been selected on the selection screen, details about the cumulation wage types of the comparison group or the requester can be displayed. This includes a list of all persons in the comparison group and the individual monthly amounts sorted according to the amount, the number of months evaluated, and the average of these months. The median is flagged in the first column (one flag for an uneven number of persons, two for an even number).

The statistics show how many persons were selected, how many are actually (still) in the comparison group after the processing has been carried out, and how many persons were rejected.

Other notifications appear for each personnel number in the person-specific messages.
