Purpose

This report is used to generate PDF forms (based on Adobe or Smart forms) and ALV reports, as per the configurations you have maintained in the Quick Analytics Configuration (HKWRPT_CONFIG) program.

You have maintained the requisite configurations in Quick Analytics Configuration.

Features

Selection

Provide the selection criteria as follows based on which you want to execute the report:

  • Payroll Period: Specify the period for which you want the report to display employee information.
  • Selection Criteria: Specify the employee selection criteria such as Personnel Number, Employment Status, Personnel Area, Employee Group and Payroll Area.
  • Report Selection: In Report Name, select the report(s) whose output you want to display in ALV and PDF form.
Note: This report uses the Authority Object for Report Output (P_KW_REPT) to restrict users from accessing non-relevant reports.
  • Payroll Data Selection: In Payroll Data based on:, select whether you want the report to be executed for all the payroll periods whose 'Period Begin Date', 'Period End Date' or 'Period Payment Date' lies between the dates for which the report is being executed.
Note: 'Period End Date' is selected by default.
  • Payroll Control:
  1. Select the Payment Typefor which you wish to execute the report, that is, 'Regular', 'Off-cycle' or 'Both'.
Note: 'Regular' is selected by default.
  1. If you select 'Off-cycle' or 'Both', specify the reasons for the off-cycle payroll and the types of off-cycle payroll.
Note: This section is displayed if you selected 'Other Period' in the Payroll Period section above.
  • Off-cycle Payroll Control: If you wish to execute the report for an off-cycle payroll, specify the reason for the off-cycle payroll, the payroll type, the payroll identifier and the off-cycle payroll payment date.
Note: This section is displayed if you selected 'Other Payroll Period' in the Payroll Period section above.
  • Language: Specify the language in which the system should fetch and display the output. By default the system selects the log on language to fetch data. You can overwrite this. For example, if you have logged in in the English language, the Language field will have EN as the default selection, which means the system will fetch and display data in English. If you want to print the data in the Arabic (AR) language, overwrite the default value with AR. The system will display the data if it exists in Arabic, otherwise the data will be displayed in English.
  • Test Run: Select this checkbox to run the report in the test mode where the output is not updated in the database tables.
  • Spool Generation in Background: Select this checkbox if you want a spool to be created when the report is run in the background.
  • Additional Selection Fields: Based on the report you selected earlier, the system will display and allow you to specify additional selection criteria, if any.
  • Download Output: Select this checkbox if you want to download the report output as a file, and then select one of the following destinations for it:
  • PC File

  • Application Server

For your selected destination, provide the desired path and file format.
Note: For the ‘Text File’ format, it is mandatory to select a File Delimiter. You can choose from either pipe ( | ) or semi-colon ( ; ).

Standard Variants

Output

Based on your selection criteria, the report generates an ALV output.

If multiple reports are selected for execution, you can view the output of each separately by clicking Report in the ALV output and selecting the desired report. You can toggle between the reports in this manner.

The Detailed View button is enabled for reports whose output type is Adobe Form or Smart Form. By clicking it you can view and download for all the employees the details of such a column that has tabular data.

The Cumulation Details button is enabled for reports whose output type is ALV. In the ALV output, the payroll amount fields hold cumulated values of all their corresponding wage types. Details of these wage types can be viewed and downloaded by clicking this button.

After selecting a report and the required records from the output, click Print PDF to generate the PDF form (provided an Adobe or Smart form is associated with the report). Note that the Print PDF button is disabled if the report does not have a form associated with it.

Click Log to view a list of the error, warning and information messages associated with the selected report in the output log.
