As of a future date entered on the selection screen, you can use this program to replace a contribution group in the master data of the selected employees with another contribution group.
This program generates a batch input session that changes (or delimits and copies) the Social Insurance A (0044) infotype of the employees selected.
This batch input session also generates an ELDA change notification. After processing, the report list contains a log that lists all of the data records that have been processed.

You can process the batch input session in the menu System -> Services -> Batch Input -> Sessions.

When you process this batch input session, the Social Insurance A (0044) and SI Notification Supplements A (0367) infotypes are changed in the master data of the persons selected.

You have identified a contribution group that you want to convert and know the contribution group into which it is to be converted. For example, you want to convert contribution group N62 into contribution group N14.
It is not possible to use additional criteria to convert contribution group N62 into contribution group N14 or L14.
You can achieve this type of conversion in several program runs by restricting the personnel numbers to be processed.

This program generates a batch input session for changing the master data for all employees selected on the selection screen who are assigned to the contribution group specified under Original Contribution Group in their master data (after the delimitation date).
In this case, infotype records that fully lie after the delimitation date are changed.
If the delimitation date lies within an infotype record, this infotype record is split. The contribution group is changed in the record that is valid as of the delimitation date. If an infotype record lies before the delimitation date, this infotype record remains unchanged.

For each person whose master data is changed, an SI change notification is generated in the SI Notification Supplements A (0367) infotype with the date when the first change was made (see example).

  • In the Selection group box on the selection screen, select those persons for whom you want to perform a conversion. You can execute the program according to the payroll area or organizational data.
  • In the Data for Delimiting Contribution Groups group box, enter at least one original contribution group and one target contribution group.
  • In the Delimitation Date field, enter the date on which the conversion is to take place.
  • In the Other Data group box, enter the name of the batch input session to be created by the program.
If you execute the program several times for different contribution groups or persons, you can use the name to differentiate between the various batch input sessions.

The report creates a list of error messages and information messages as well as a list of master data records for which a change occurred as a result of the batch input session.

If processing of the batch input session will cause changes to the master data in the payroll past, the system issues a corresponding warning message.
If you nevertheless decide to process the batch input session, you trigger forced retroactive accounting runs for the employees in question, which may result in subsequent claims or the repayment of SI contributions. Therefore, check whether a forced retroactive accounting run is intended before you process the batch input session.

If this list contains master data records flagged with an 'X' in the column ELDA, the batch input session also generates a change notification in the SI Notification Supplement (IT 0367) infotype.

  1. Execute the program for the personnel numbers that you have selected.
  2. Check the report list to determine whether you want the master data changes specified by the report.
If you do not want these changes, delete the batch input session generated by the system. Refine your selection and run the report again.
  3. Schedule the batch input session after you have checked the report list to ensure that you want the master data changes specified by the report.
    Note the following:
  • None of the relevant master data records can be locked by manual changes.

  • You cannot set the payroll control record in order to lock the master data against changes.

Therefore, schedule processing of the batch input session at a time when no users are making changes.

After March 31, 2003, you want the employees coded in contribution group N62 to be assigned to contribution group N14.

You select 'N62' in the Original Contribution Group field and 'N14' in the Target Contribution Group field. You enter the date '01.04.2003' in the Delimitation Date field.
Before you run the report, the system contains the following data records for two employees:

Personnel No. Start End Contribution Group
0001 01.10.2002 31.12.2003 N62
0002 01.10.2002 11.05.2003 A1
0002 12.05.2003 31.12.2003 N62

The program generates a batch input session that generates the following data records in the Social Insurance A (0044) infotype:

0001 01.10.2002 31.03.2003 N62
0001 01.04.2003 31.12.2003 N14
0002 01.10.2002 11.05.2003 A1
0002 12.05.2003 31.12.2003 N14

The following ELDA change notifications (change reason: change of contribution group) are also generated:

Personnel No. Change Date
0001 01.04.2003
0003 12.05.2003
