Purpose

You can use this program to generate the International Employer Statement for one or more employees.

The international employer statement is the basis for the form PD U1 (EU form). Form PD U1 is required by job seekers who wish to claim entitlement to unemployment benefits in an EU/EFTA state and previously worked in Switzerland.

Form PD U1 is generated by the responsible unemployment insurance fund in Switzerland. For this, the unemployment insurance fund requires the international employer statement from the job seekers. The international employer statement is filled out by the last employer in Switzerland.

Prerequisites

In Customizing for Payroll Switzerland, you have made the settings under Statements -→ Employer Statement.

For those employees for whom a statement is to be printed, you have created a record of the Employer Statement (0600) infotype. The last active day of the employee is used as the key date here.

Also note that you cannot create the infotype record as locked if you want to generate the international employer statement. The program only evaluates infotype records that are not locked at the time of printing.

Note regarding concurrent employment (CE):

Please note that you have to create a separate info record for each contract with the respective contract-specific information and wages for employees who resign from several contracts at the same time. In this case, you receive a separate form for each contract.

Features

  • For all contracts (or personnel numbers) of the employees that meet the selection criteria on at least one day in the selection period, the program determines all unlocked records of the key date infotype Employer Statement (0060) in the selection period.
The system generates a form for each infotype record (key date of infotype (= start date of the infotype)) determined in this way.
  • If the program has not selected any employees or if no data has been entered in infotype 0600 for the selected employees in the selection period, a warning message is output instead of a form.
  • In the form generated by the standard SAP version, this program outputs the text label Pers. No. as well as the corresponding personnel number. If you would like to change the text label or suppress its output or the printing of the personnel number, you can use the Business Add-In for the international employer statement (HRPAYCHERC0) to override the default response.

Selection

  • Choose the period in such a way that it contains the last active working day of the former employees for whom you would like to generate an international employer statement.
  • To print forms, you have to ensure that the parameter "Output Medium → Output as Form" is activated and that the selection field "Generated Test Data" is not selected.

Output

The program outputs the forms with the logical form that can be configured time-dependently.

The key date is the Valid-From Date of the infotype. All selected infotypes are printed using the same logical form. If you select more than one infotype, the key date of the first processed infotype applies.

You can use the "Form" parameter to specify that the program uses a specific logical form.

If you choose the parameter Output Medium -> Display as List, alternatively you can display the data as a list for control purposes.

The three current language versions have been technically implemented as three different PDF forms with the respective official translations.

In infotype 0600, this change is mapped using the field Output Language of Form (Employer Statement) in which you can specify the output language:

  • If you leave the Overwrite Output Language parameter blank, the form is output using the language stored in the infotype record.

  • If no language is stored in the infotype, the form is printed in the logon language. If no form exists for the requested language, the form is output in the additional fallback language stored in the Customizing activity Set Default Configuration for Selecting the Logical Form.

Note

In contrast to the previously used solution with a single form and an analogous translation provided by SAP, the forms available in the SAP standard no longer support an English language form background.

Thanks to the corresponding configuration in the Customizing activity Set Default Configuration for Selecting the Logical Form, the explicit specification of a form is no longer required in the program. If you want to use this anyway, please keep in mind the following for the selection from the input help and generation of customer forms:

  • If the translations are contained in a single form (such as the old standard form HR_CH_ERC), this form appears in the input help and you can select it.
  • If the translations are contained in separate forms, you only ever select the logical form without the language code at the end (for example, 'HR_CH_ERCI_01') here. The system then uses the form with the added ISO code of the requested language (for example, 'HR_CH_ERCI_01_FR').
Corresponding customer forms must also comply with this naming convention to ensure the form selection works correctly.

Forms (SAP standard):

Logical form PDF form
HR_CH_ERCI_01 HR_CH_ERCI_01_DE
HR_CH_ERCI_01_DE HR_CH_ERCI_01_DE
HR_CH_ERCI_01_FR HR_CH_ERCI_01_FR
HR_CH_ERCI_01_IT HR_CH_ERCI_01_IT

The standard settings mentioned above, such as the effective specification of 'DE' as the default language for the form by assigning the German PDF form to the logical form without a language extension, can be overwritten on a customer-specific basis by your system administration. Language-specific texts in output fields are printed in the language of the background provided an additional fallback language is configured in the Customizing activity Set Default Configuration for Selecting the Logical Form.
