Purpose

Taking the industry in which your company is active into account, you can use this report to create statistics on the level of salary and bonus payments.

This data is used to create comparative evaluations that establish relationships between occupation, payment, and age of employees.

Prerequisites

The settings under Reporting and Statistics -> Salary Comparisons have been made in Customizing for Payroll: Switzerland.

Features

For each person, the report determines for their function number, the monthly salary, the 13th monthly wage, and bonus payments that may have been made in the current year.

  • Monthly Salary
The monthly salary is determined using the infotype record Basic Payments (0008) valid for the key date, if necessary, taking an indirect evaluation into consideration. The salary determined is projected to 100% in accordance with the capacity utilization level or multiplied by the number of standard hours (selection parameter).
  • 13th Monthly Wage
To determine the entitlement to the 13th monthly wage, the Grouping for Year-End Bonus (CHJZU) feature is first evaluated. With this result and with each parameter specified on the selection screen for the 13th monthly wage, the table Controlling Year-End Bonus (13th wage) (T5C3H) is evaluated.
Each entry determined by the system means that an entitlement to a 13th monthly wage exists for the key date, regardless of whether this is actually paid out due to other rules.
  • Bonus Payments
The payroll results in the evaluation period are read using the wage types entered on the selection screen and bonus payments are calculated as the total of the amounts in these wage types.
For function numbers that describe sales activities, the bonus payments are determined from the year before the evaluation period. If there are no payroll results in the previous year, no bonus payments are calculated.

You can edit the list created by the program directly as a text file in the form of a spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel. Create a separate file with the company number as the file name for each company number assigned to you.

Selection

Before you can execute the program, you must define different selection criteria in the selection screen of the program (see Activities).

Output

The program displays the statistics in the form of a table with the following data:

  • Company Number (as assigned by SWISSMEM)
  • Function Number
  • Code Age
  • Code Salary
  • Year
  • Salary
  • Bonus

Each line of the statistics contains an entry per employed person.

The field Code Age is always filled with 2, since the person’s year of birth is always specified. The field Code Salary is also always filled with 2 since the salary is always specified as an annual salary. The monthly salary is multiplied by 12 plus the number of the 13th monthly wages.

Activities

Store the following specifications on the selection screen before you execute the program:

  1. Determine a key date on which the statistics are to be created.
  2. Select the desired personnel numbers, which are to be included in the statistics.
  3. Choose an industry code if necessary.
The industry code of SWISSMEM is offered as a default value in the standard SAP system.
  4. Select a payroll unit ASM, provided that you want to restrict the evaluation to certain person groupings.
  5. Determine the Parameter 13th Monthly Wage, with which values the payroll function CHDR (Switzerland: Calculation of Year-End Bonus) is called.
The parameter is specified with the default values L13 and L1 in the standard SAP system.
  6. Enter the number of working hours, on the basis of which the monthly wage of an hourly wage earner is to be calculated.
The number is specified with the default value 173.00 in the standard SAP system.
  7. Choose the relevant wage types to determine the annual salary or bonuses.
