Purpose

This program allows you to generate global roles based on the jobs you transferred from the HR system to the SAP Portfolio and Project Management system.

Integration

You can only use this program in the case where jobs are transferred from the HR system to the Portfolio Management system via the distribution scenario.

Prerequisites

Prior to transferring the jobs to the SAP Portfolio and Project Management system, you have imported the qualification catalog to the SAP Portfolio and Project Management system.

The report only supports the creation of global roles. It does not support changes to or the deletion of global roles.

Features

The report generates global roles for jobs contained in the SAP Portfolio and Project Management system (see table HRP1000 for object type 'C'). Only jobs in the active plan version and with active planning status are considered. The following is a detailed list of which data files are populated:

  • Global Role Name
    Job name (long text)
  • Global Role ID
The PD object ID is used as the global role ID.
  • Qualification Set
The global role qualifications are derived from the job qualification profile.
  • All other pieces of information are not populated (for example, terms, location, parent global role name). You can manually add this information later if desired.

Selection

The selection screen contains the following selection options:

  • Object ID
Here you can specify which jobs are to be converted into global roles. The F4 value help can help you select the relevant jobs. Limit the selection to object type 'C' (job), since only jobs will be utilized to create global roles.
If you do not specify any object IDs, the program uses all available jobs.
  • Date
Specify the date for selection of the jobs. Only jobs that are valid on this date are used to create global roles.
  • Language Key
Jobs are stored with a language key. Only jobs that match this language selection are used to create global roles.
  • Test Run (No Database Update)
This selection option enables you to run the report in simulation mode, without generating global roles.

Standard Variants

Output

The program provides you with a status report that indicates which global roles were created and where errors occurred.
