Title

EEO-1 (Equal Employment Opportunity) Report USA for Concurrent Employment

Description

This program compiles the EEO-1 Report, which certain U.S. employers are required to file on an annual basis with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Separate EEO-1 Reports are produced for each reporting unit.

This following fields have been added to the report to accommodate reporting requirements for concurrent employment scenarios:

Requirements

In order for this application to report the correct statistics to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, you must:

  1. Review and maintain settings in a number of tables in the Personnel Administration IMG. In order to access these tables, along with documentation of the configuration to be performed, refer to the following Personnel Administration IMG chapter:
Organizational Data
,,-> Organizational Assignment
,,,,-> Organizational Plan
,,,,,,-> Compliance Reports
,,,,,,,,-> EEO-1/VETS-100 Reporting
Note
The configuration to be performed in this IMG chapter pertains both to the EEO-1 Report and to the VETS-100 Report, which certain U.S. employers must file with the U.S. Department of Labor. However, even if your enterprise is required to submit both the EEO-1 and the VETS-100, you do not need to configure these IMG settings twice.
  1. Maintain the Additional Personal Data infotype (0077) for each employee to be reported. Within this infotype, employees must be classified in accordance with the selections found under Ethnic origin.
  2. Identify the main contract in the Main Contract infotype (0712). This will enable accurate reporting of the head-count, as all the head-count reports only consider the main contracts for a person.

    Examples:
    1. An employee has three contracts (C1, C2, & C3) with employer A. C1 is the main contract. This is a single employer scenario. Subsequently, the EEO report selects the employee only once.
    2. An employee has three contracts (C1, C2 & C3). Contracts C1& C2 are with employer A and contract C3 is with employer B. If you were to run the EEO report for multiple companies, the employee is counted once at each company. That is, for employer A, contract C1 is counted once and for employer B, contract C3 is counted once.

Parameters

In addition to standard selection criteria, the following parameters influence the generation of the EEO-1 Report:

  • Previous period
    Specifies the period from which previously reported figures are read.
  • Current period
    Specifies the period from which the indicators for Sections C and E of the EEO-1 Report are read. If you elect to write the results of the EEO-1 Report to the Equal Employment Opportunity Record (described below), then these results will be assigned to the current period.
  • Special report type
    If you select this checkbox, then the heading of the EEO-1 Report will be changed to read Special Report. The report type, specified in Section A, will be 5.
  • Write results in EEO Record?
    If you select this checkbox, the results for each reporting unit in the current period will be written in the Equal Employment Opportunity Record. The EEO-1 Report uses this internal table to access:
  1. Previously reported results
  2. Settings for the current report, and
  3. Fields into which the current results can be written.

Running the report

If the indicators for Sections C and E have not changed in the current period, then it is not necessary to create new records for each reporting unit; the EEO-1 Report will read the indicators from the previous period. However, if these indicators have changed, a new record with the correct settings must be manually created for the current period.

Output

For the purposes of report submission, the output of this application is equivalent to the actual EEO-1 form issued by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. However, Section G (Certification) is omitted, because multi-establishment employers are required to file the certified consolidated report on the original EEO-1 form.

In the section Type of Display, you can select the PDF or the HR FORM format.
