Purpose

You can use this report to test the search configuration used to display talents in the talent monitor for a talent review meeting.

In the Preparation view, the application for editing a talent review meeting is a talent monitor. Starting from the participants of the talent review meeting, the talent monitor displays those talents that report to the participants (directly or indirectly) and also meet the criteria of the defined search configuration.

You can use this report to test the functionality of the defined search configuration without having to set up a talent review meeting. The system also outputs additional information that makes it easier to identify why the talent monitor displays or does not display a person.

Integration

Prerequisites

In Customizing for Talent Management and Talent Development, you have created a search configuration under Talent Review Meeting -> Talent Monitor -> Define Search Configurations for Talent Monitor.

You have made the basic Customizing settings for the search under Basic Settings -> Search.

Features

Selection

On the selection screen, you have the following options:

  • To test the talent monitor for a talent review meeting, select the required talent review meeting.
From the talent review meeting, the system reads the search configuration as well as the number of participants that serve as the starting point for the evaluation.
  • To test the talent monitor for a particular search configuration and a particular number of participants, enter the required selection criteria manually.

Standard Variants

Output

A list outputs the following information for each participant:

  • Name and position
  • All talents that report directly to the participant
  • An indicator as to whether the search configuration finds the talent. If the indicator is not set, the talent is not found since it does not fulfill at least one of the criteria of the search configuration. Consequently, the talent monitor does not display this talent.
  • If you have defined the search configuration with a depth larger than 1, the system outputs the talents that report directly to the participants, evaluates the reporting path up to the specified search depth, and considers all persons in this reporting path. In this case, the system also outputs the level of the reporting path.

You can use the Display Search Criteria pushbutton to display the definition of the search configuration.
