Description

Program RPUC0002 changes the database entries for the Personal Data infotype (0002), and is used for maintenance of employee master data in Spain and Belgium. It should be used only by those customers who have upgraded their system to release 4.0, in order to adapt the names of their employees to the new P0002 DDIC structure. This report also updates the Organizational Assignment (0001) and Family/Related Person (0021) infotypes (Spain only) as these are connected to employees' names.

The program functions depend on the country, and are as follows:

Spain (country grouping 04):

The program copies the contents of the 'Second name' field (P0002-NAME2) in the Personal Data infotype (0002) into '2° apellido' (P0002-NACH2) for employees of Spanish nationality or for those whose nationality field is empty.

It also updates the Organizational Assignment infotype (0001), and fills the fields P0001-ENAME and P0001-SNAME according to the table T522N. Furthermore it adapts the relevant fields in all Family/Related Person records (0021) for family members of Spanish nationality or for those whose nationality field is empty.

Belgium (country grouping 12):

In the new DDIC structure the length of a number of fields connected to the employees names has been extended to 40 characters. Therefore it is necessary to convert the data existing in former releases in order to update the infotype records containing the affected fields.

In the Personal Data infotype (0002), the program transfers the employee names from the shorter fields used in the former P0002 structure to the 40 character fields P0002-NACHN and P0002-NAME2 of the new P0002 structure. The fields P0002-VORSW and P0002-VORSR are cleared.

It also updates the Organizational Assignment infotype (0001), and fills the fields P0001-ENAME and P0001-SNAME according to table T522N.

Requirements

  • Spain:
  • The field P0002-NACH2 must exist in the Personal Data infotype (0002).
  • The field P0021-FNAC2 must exist in the Family/Related Person infotype (0021).

Belgium:

  • The family name or birthname of the person must be longer than 25 characters.

Output

Once the conversion has been performed, the program produces a list containing the employees whose second surname is now located in the correct field and has the correct length, in accordance with the entries made in the selection screen.
