Purpose

Test help for maintenance and support

You do not usually require this report: For a productive ELM notification, or a complete test of the ELM functionality, use the data extractor (report 'RPLELMC0') and the B2A Manager (transaction 'PB2A') instead.

Integration

Prerequisites

Features

This report runs one or more report variants of the ELM data extractor (report ' 'RPLELMC0'), generates instance documents for the corresponding wage notifications (unsigned XML files), and downloads these into a predefined directory on the front-end computer (file name is the name of the variant with the suffix '.xml'). The timestamp and message IDs in the XML will be replaced by constants.

Therefore, an auxiliary program, which can compare XML files of the same name in pairs in two directories, can use the remaining difference between the XML files to recognize differences in the behavior of the extractor and the XML generation before and after changes to the source text or Customizing, or between different document versions. The XML files are not suitable for productive use.

Selection

The entry in the 'Variants to Be Downloaded' parameter is mandatory. Specify one or more variants ('*' for all existing variants).

The Target Directory parameter must contain a valid path on the front-end PC. Depending on the operating system, you may need to adjust the separator between the path and name.

Standard Variants

Output

If the "Test Mode" parameter is not selected, the report writes an XML file for each variant executed to the chosen file directory of the front-end computer, otherwise no changes are made to the file system.
