The program helps to carry out the following operations during the maintenance of table T5H2B:

  • Copy records with a given form code to a new form code (also deleting the records with the old form code after having copied them)
  • Delete records with a given form code
  • Comparison of two forms

Using the program

The program uses the following form identifier keys and parameters for copy:

  • Date: the table records will be selected with this validity date. If the field is empty, the program selects all records.
  • Source form code: form code of records to be deleted or copied
  • Target form code: form code of the new records when copying
  • Delete source after copying?: if it is checked, records with the source form code will be deleted

During comparison, the program uses codes of source and target forms only.

The program enters the copied and deleted records in a customizing transport request.

Copying records with given form codes to a new form code

Records with the form code specified in field 'Source form code' and valid at the time specified in field 'Date' can be copied under the new form code defined in field 'Target form code'. By selecting the checkbox 'Delete source after copying?', you can delete the records with the old form code so that only those with the new form code remain in the table.

Necessary parameters:

  • Date, source form code, target form code

Optional parameters:

  • Delete source after copying?

If there are already entries under the target form code, the program asks whether to delete those rows. If the user choses to keep those rows, the program does not check any overlaps, tries to create the new rows instead. If any of rows cannot be created due to the same key, the entry will not be copied.

Deleting records with a given form code

Records with the form code specified in field 'Source form code' and valid at the time identified in field 'Date' can be deleted. If you run the program with option 'Delete source after copying?' checked, records with form codes stated in field 'Source form code' valid at the time identified in field 'Date' will be deleted.

Necessary parameters:

  • Date, source form code

Optional parameters:

  • Delete source after copying?

Parameters not used:

  • Target form code

Comparison of two forms

Each row of source form and target form is compared and results are displayed in an ALV list. When comparing, the following rules apply:

  • Source form is dispalyed in the green columns on the left while data of the target form are displayed in turquoise columns on the right.
  • A row of both forms are displayed in the same row if their key fields are the same.
  • Differing values of non key fields are indicated red within a row.

If checkbox "Display deifferences only" is checked on the selection screen, matching lines are neot included in the list.
