Purpose

Testing the installed encryption solution and listing the corresponding parameters.

Integration

Prerequisites

External encryption software has been installed, integrated into the SAP system via profile parameters and loaded by the system.

Features

  • The program partly encrypts a data block with certificates determined by the company numbers. The result of the encryption (Return Code) is output.
  • Optionally, the system settings can be output. The report lists the set ssf profile parameters. In addition, the system tries to determine the version of the installed encryption software.

Selection

  • File path to the certificates
    The certificates are normally in a subdirectory /sec. The path is displayed during the installation of the external encryption solution for transfer into the SAP system. From the point of view of the user, it is important that the path, under which the SAP sytem runs, is entered. Example: C:\program files\common files\bin\sec
  • PIN
    A PIN can be issued during installation to use the external encryption. When entering a pin, the system differentiates between upper case / lower case letters.
  • Company numbers
    Employer's company number - eight-digit company number of the health insurance fund. A certificate exists for the company number with the public key of the health insurance fund.
    Health insurance fund's company number - eight-digit company number of the employer. An application has been filed for the certificate at the ITSG under this company number.
  • Output system settings
    Switch to output additional information which is relevant for the encryption.
