Purpose

You use this report to create data mediums for data centers across systems and clients.

Prerequisites

You use the SP reporting procedure in several systems or clients and want to create a combined data medium for each supplementary pension institute and license number.

The Customizing settings for all destinations, including the administration client, must be kept the same as the procedure for distributed reporting (see also the Business Add-In HRPBSDEZVZDTARBGBMAP).

Create the following for all the systems or clients whose data mediums you want to combine:

  • RFC destinations, the first eight characters of whose names are different (transaction SM59)

Make sure that the user used has sufficient authorizations in all the destinations.

If you are already using the Creation of Data Mediumreport productively in individual clients and now want to convert, you need to clarify with the relevant supplementary pension institute under which data center number the combined data medium is to be created in the future. If productive data mediums have already been created under this data center number and sent to the supplementary pension institute, you have to enter the last sequential data medium number in the report Manage Data Medium (RPUZVDD2).

Features

You start the program from the "administration" client and use a Remote Function Call (RFC) to call the Creation of Data Medium report in the local client in a special mode in the background. The system creates incomplete data mediums in the local client. At the end of the report, the system imports and compiles the incomplete data mediums in the administration client.

Entries are written to the report Manage Data Medium (RPUZVDD2) in both the administration client and the local client.

The affected notifications are linked with the sequential file number to the local data mediums.

The database table PDPBSZVMDCARRS is also written to the administration client (note the new status). This table contains information about which local data mediums were combined in which data medium.

You can also use the Manage Data Mediumreport to reject and delete combined data mediums.

You do not need to create several data mediums in each period for a supplementary pension institute and license number because you can always only reject the last data medium created. If you reject a data medium created previously, you reject all the subsequent data mediums.

Selection

Enter all the required RFC destinations on the multiple selection screen.

Enter the variant for creating the data medium.

The Testcheckbox overwrites the Testcheckbox in the Creation of Data Mediumreport.

Output

The report logs the calls in the different RFC destinations. Evaluate the relevant job logs.

The system displays an overview of the data mediums created.

For general information, see Application Log for User.

Activities

After you have created data mediums, you can download these data mediums using the report Data Medium Download (RPUZVTD2).

If error or warning messages occur, you must view and evaluate all the corresponding logs in the Job Overview(SM37) in the affected destinations. Inconsistencies must be corrected before you start another Combined Creation of Data Mediumreport in a productive system.

If the Combined Creation of Data Mediumreport is terminated or cancelled by the administrator, all the data mediums created in this report need to be deleted. The report RPUZVMD2 tries to trigger this deletion and resets the corresponding notifications to New.

Depending on when the report was terminated, this can be executed only partially in the relevant destination.
