Purpose

You use this report to write data to an archive file to be destroyed by the Leave History Adjustments NZ (HRCNZI0312) archiving object.

This archiving object destroys records from the Leave History Adjustments NZ (0312) infotype. It supports the Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) function for the destruction of data and only destroys records delimited in the past, thus enabling you to meet the data privacy legal requirements.

During the write phase, for each object instance, the system evaluates state-specific rules that are defined in the Process ILM Policies (IRMPOL) transaction. The system thus determines the retention period for the data object.

Integration

The programs for the Leave History Adjustments NZ (HRCNZI0312) archiving object are as follows:

  • The RP_HRCNZ_0312_PRE preprocessing program selects the data to be destroyed.
  • The RP_HRCNZ_0312_WRI write program writes the data to an archive file so you can delete it. When you execute the write program, you enter the Session ID generated by the preprocessing program in the Description of Sessionfield.
  • The RP_HRCNZ_0312_DEL delete program deletes the data that the write program has written to an archive file. You define if the delete program is started automatically in the Archive Administration (SARA) transaction, under Customizing -> Archiving object-specific customizing, as follows:
  • Not Scheduled: Select this radio button if you want to start the delete program manually after the write phase.

  • Start Automatically: Select this radio button if you want the system to start the delete program automatically as a background job after the write phase.

Prerequisites

  • You have run the RP_HRCNZ_0312_PRE preprocessing program.
  • You have scheduled this write program in the Archive Administration (SARA) transaction.

Features

This report writes data to an archive file and issues statistics on the archiving session. It displays the number of objects written to the archive file.

Selection

You enter the following data on the selection screen:

  • Description: From the input help for this field, choose the Session ID generated by the preprocessing program.
  • Comment/Note: You can enter a short text for the archiving session.
  • Test Run: If you select this checkbox, the write program is started in test mode. No archive files are created and no data is deleted from the database. The delete program is not started.
If you do not select the checkbox, the write program is started in productive mode and archive files are created for the destruction of data.
  • Detailed Log: If you select this checkbox, a detailed log is displayed. Use this option only to perform an error analysis in test mode. Since the log is very detailed, you should not use it in productive mode.
