Purpose

You use this report as a reference report for creating your own search reports. This is an example of an e-discovery report for archiving objects in Human Resources.

E-discovery reports are used in the transaction ILM_LHMto add references to a legal hold.

Integration

Prerequisites

  • You need to register the report via Customizing, under SAP NetWeaver-> Application Server-> Basis Services-> Information Lifecycle Management-> Retention Management-> Register E-Discovery Selection Programs.
  • The system provides you with the delivered ILM objects PA-LDOC, PA-TIME, and PA-CALC, and each of the linked BOR objects.

Features

You use this report to search for BOR keys. You can search for BOR keys in the following locations:

  • Database - search for the BOR keys in the database tables of the linked archiving objects.
  • Database and archive - search for BOR keys in the database and archive. If this option is selected, an archiving session must be entered. The legal hold can be applied to all files that were created based on the ILM rules.

Selection

The report uses the following input parameters: Personnel Numberand Archiving Object.

Standard Variants

A variant with the following input parameters is set:

  1. Enter the personnel number and the archiving object.
  2. Choose one of the two e-discovery options: Search in Database or Search in Database and Archive.
  3. Enter the Maximum Number of Hits.
  4. Choose Save.
  5. Enter the Variant Name on the Variant Attributes screen.

Once a variant has been saved, the report can be executed using transaction ILM_LHM. You can execute this report for an existing legal case or for a new legal case.

Perform the following steps to execute the report:

  1. On the screen Set Locks for Legal Cases, choose a case.
  2. Choose Change. The screen Change Legal Case is displayed.
  3. In the section for locked data, choose E-Discovery. The screen Enter Program and Variant appears.
  4. Enter RP_PARC_REDISCOVERYas the program name.
  5. Enter the variant name.
  6. Choose Execute.
