Purpose

You can use this report to undo all changes that have been made in the preliminary phase of data destruction for an archiving object. For example, this can be necessary if, after the preprocessing phase, you determine that a <DS:GLOS.48F11C72B3684455E10000000A421945>retention rule</> needs to be changed or that the data for a particular country grouping still needs to be retained.

Prerequisites

  • You have run the preprocessing program for an archiving object.
  • The program has generated a run ID.
  • The delete program has not yet been run.
  • It is only possible to roll back preprocessing if this is the most recent preprocessing for this PERNR.

Features

You can roll back preprocessing for one or more personnel numbers, or based on a run ID. The report undoes the following changes made in the preprocessing phase:

  • The status Prepared for Data Destruction in the infotype Archiving/Data Destruction (0283) is deleted for the selected personnel numbers.
  • The status Prepared for Supplementary Data Destruction in the infotype Archiving/Data Destruction (0283) is reset to the status Destroyed for the selected personnel numbers.
  • The earliest personal retroactive accounting limit that was written to the infotype Payroll Status (0003) in the preprocessing phase for the destruction of data is reset to the value that was valid before the preprocessing phase for the selected personnel numbers; provided that no other changes have been made in the meantime.
  • The entry for the run ID in the database table HRPA_D_ARCHPERNR is deleted for the selected personnel numbers. If you roll back preprocessing for an entire run ID, the entry for the run ID in the table HRPA_D_ARCHRUN is also deleted.

Selection

You run the report for an archiving object. You also have the following selection conditions and options available:

  • Personnel Number
You can enter one or more personnel numbers for which preprocessing is to be rolled back.
  • Run ID
You can enter a run ID and perform rollback for all associated personnel numbers.
  • Test Run
If you select this checkbox, the report is run in test mode. The report checks whether it is possible to roll back preprocessing for the destruction of data and issues appropriate messages.
  • Detailed Log
If you select this checkbox, the report displays a detailed log.

Output

The report issues a list of all success and error messages. If you have started the report in the background, you can display the log in the Application Log (transaction SLG1). The following information is displayed for each run ID and personnel number:

  • Rollback status
  • Selected run ID or personnel number
  • Information as to whether the status has been deleted in the infotype Archiving/Data Destruction (0283)
  • Information as to whether the infotype Payroll Status (0003) has been updated
  • Information stating whether the personnel number was deleted with the associated run ID
  • Run ID with the relevant database table
  • Associated archiving subobject
