Title

Archiving Inspection Characteristics: Archiving Program

Purpose

You can archive master inspection characteristics that you no longer need to directly access, using the archiving program for inspection methods. The data is written to archive files and deleted from the system, if this operation is successful. You can display the archived data. A data restore is not supported.

Integration

Prerequisites

Inspection methods can only be archived:

• If the system found no usage during usage checks for this master data.

• If the successor version of the inspection methods has a valid-from date that is before the beginning of the retention period.

Features

The archiving program writes the database tables to the archive for master inspection characteristics with status 4. If the operation was successful, the data is deleted from the system directly after archiving, depending on the settings in Customizing.
